Don’t Make this Nutrition Mistake
This year I had a first-time experience: a photo shoot for my first book and new website. Preparing for that shoot turned me into a disciplined, ultra-focused exerciser & strict-eating machine!
It was probably the hardest I’ve ever worked.
And hopefully the pictures reveal that my hard work paid off!
But you know what happened as soon as the photo shoot was over? I started slacking! I had pizza, pastries, chocolate….yikes! I confess: I wanted to “reward” myself.
The problem is that a cheat day often turns into a cheat weekend which flows into a cheat Monday, then Tuesday…and suddenly you’ve gained back in four days what you worked hard to lose in four weeks!
Has this ever happened to you? Why do we do this?
The issue has to do with our MINDSET.
While it’s a normal desire to want a reward after working hard, and you do deserve it, it’s important to set a limit on yourself.
I think most of us have the tendency to overindulge, don’t we? At least, I think it comes more naturally than being super-strict and disciplined!
So, I encourage you to stay focused on your goal and PLAN your reward. Then enjoy it to the fullest and continue on your healthy track the following day.
Avoid the mistake of thinking you’ll coast back into your fitness routine. Plan for it instead.
Then you won’t deal with any guilt or unwanted pounds after your splurge. 🙂
Committed to your success,
Priscilla
