Do you work hard?
I’m sure you do. You’re juggling your career with your family. On top of that, you have house projects and errands. Oh, and don’t forget that you have to take care of you by getting your workout in every day.
That’s hard work!
But how often do you feel that you’ve worked hard all day – yet didn’t get much accomplished?
If this happens to you on a regular basis, I have a great suggestion that I learned from my mentor Darren Hardy. It starts with a question:
Are you reacting to your day or creating your day?
How many times does the following happen?
You start your day with a fairly open calendar. But then you walk through the door and all of a sudden, a tornado of to-do’s hits you? You rush around all day and when you go to bed, you wonder if you really got anything significant accomplished.
Can you relate?
If so, here’s the answer to working hard only at what’s worthwhile:
“Don’t start your day until it’s finished on paper.” – Jim Rohn
Never walk into your day with an empty calendar! Schedule time for YOUR priorities. But also schedule time for “the unplanned.”
Then, stick to your plan! The most successful people in the world work on what’s most important FIRST.
“Worthwhile results come from hard work AND careful planning.” – John Wooden
So plan and prepare WELL today. I assure you that by following your plan, you’ll achieve better results than if you didn’t have it in the first place.
Do you feel like you’re one of those people who work hard all day… but you aren’t seeing the results of your hard work – as fast as you’d like?
How can you plan your day better today? I’d love to know! Share in the comments below.
