I’m training for my first triathlon which, God-willing, I plan to complete on my 40th birthday.
But I’ve got two problems.
FIRST, I suck at swimming.
This is probably the most unattractive picture I could ever send you. I call it “The Frozen Alien.” The pool is always freezing cold and I look hideous. Oh yes, and I suck at swimming…in case you missed that the first time. Certainly makes me wanna go swim some more, ha!
SECOND, I can’t breathe.
Seriously. For over a week now, I’ve been living off of an inhaler every few hours (that I’m only supposed to use 2x/week). When the doc tested me, it turns out I’m at 48% lung capacity and have “moderate to severe obstruction.” Why and how? I have no idea. But I’m determined to figure it out and get to the bottom of this. Pretty scary!
So, why am I sharing all this? Because, if you’re the praying type, I’d appreciate your prayers! If you’re not, send some positive thoughts my way…I’m sure they can’t hurt! 🙂
Also, as I look back at my personal growth over the last decade or so, I can see how much I’ve improved my attitude, mindset, and behaviors… all due to Personal Development.
In the past, I might have given up on my race. Or taken a bunch of medicine without even trying to find the root of my health issues. Or whined, complained, cried, and gotten depressed.
Likely, a combo of all of those.
But, because I’ve focused on Personal Development, I have:
- A more grateful attitude
- A positive mindset and outlook on life
- Increased drive and determination
- Focus to achieve my goals
- Relationships with positive, inspiring, successful leaders
- And SO MUCH more!
What about you? Do you focus on personal growth and development?
I mean, do you purposely and intentionally make time to improve your attitude, productivity, mindset, relationships, finances, etc?
If not, I highly encourage you to do so.
When YOU get better, EVERYTHING around you gets better!
Here are two ways you can start your journey of personal growth today:
- Buy or borrow books on happiness, mindset mastery, motivation, attitude, and leadership
- Tune in to or download podcasts or inspirational CD’s that you can listen to in your car
Simple right? It IS! But the easiest things to do are the easiest things not to do.
I guarantee that by immersing yourself in positive material, you’ll become increasingly positive. 🙂
One more (super impactful) thing you can do:
There’s nothing better than a LIVE EVENT.
At live Personal Development events:
- You interact with others who also want to better themselves
- You get trained, motivated, and guided by Experts on the very areas you want to improve
- You’re inspired by leaps and bounds to make the changes you’ve said you’d make all year.
There, I’ve put together just the event for you!
It’s THIS Saturday and the last few seats are going fast. Don’t miss your opportunity.
Go here for all the details and REGISTER TODAY: Yes! Count me IN!
I expect to see you there!
Committed to your success,
P.S. Thanks again for your prayers and positive thoughts! 🙂
