Why Are We Unhappy?
While being the most beautiful of the sexes (in my biased opinion), women seem to be the most unhappy. In fact, the Mayo Clinic says, “Women are nearly twice as likely as men to be diagnosed with depression.”
And the number one killer among women is heart disease (besides unhealthy lifestyle choices, women are under a whole lot of stress).
This shouldn’t be!
So, why is this? Why are women so unhappy?
We have homes, cars, an abundance of food, careers, beautiful children, etc… We have so many blessings to be thankful for!
It makes no sense to me.
Then I came across Darren Hardy’s post today:
The greatest happiness comes when we are serving a purpose.
Aw… yes. If we feel purposeless or are pursuing the wrong things (such as material wealth that only gives short-lived happiness), we won’t feel fulfilled.
We won’t be happy.
So, that’s what I encourage you to think about today.
What purpose are you passionately pursuing?
And WHY? What is it about this purpose that brings you deeply fulfilling, long-lasting HAPPINESS?
If you aren’t sure, carve out a little time to do some soul-searching! I guarantee it’ll be eye-opening and hopefully shift what you’ve been focusing on!
Let Me Know!
What is your purpose? What brings you joy, satisfaction, and deep-rooted happiness… or what will you now pursue to achieve happiness? I’d love to hear from you!
Committed to your success,
